Samford University has 25 undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs and 169 majors and minors in eight academic schools -- arts, arts and sciences, business, divinity, education, law, nursing and pharmacy for the students to choose. Samford offers both unconditional and conditional admission (ESL Bridge program) for its undergraduate programs. The conditional admissions route provides a pathway into quality US undergraduate education for students who do not meet the English proficiency requirement by completing the university’s ESL program prior to entry into the undergraduate program. As a private institution, Samford provides intimate class settings with personal attention to individual students and an opportunity to interact closely with professors and peers.
Samford undergraduates have high graduate and professional school acceptance rates. Most of Samford's full-time faculty has terminal degrees in their fields, and no classes are taught by teaching assistants. With a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students are able to receive more personalized instruction and assistance from faculty. Samford's faculty also is consistently recognized regionally and nationally!
Additionally, international students are an important part of the Samford community.
